Who we are at Jacobean Kitchens
For over two decades, our family has been designing and building custom kitchens right here in St. Thomas, Ontario. We understand that every home and family is different. That’s why we take the time to guide you through the entire process, delivering cabinetry that combines lasting beauty with real value.
Our 6-step process
Years of experience has brought us to this process.
1. Discovery
Reach out by text, phone, or email. We’ll have a quick chat about what you’re looking for, then schedule a home visit to measure and talk layout, style, and budget. Talking budget early means we design a kitchen you can actually build. Prefer to start online? Fill out our Discovery Form.
2. Design & Quote
Back at the shop, we design your space. You’ll receive drawings along with clear pricing. Then we fine-tune the details together until it’s exactly what you’re looking for.
3. Reserve Your Spot
Happy with the design and quote? A 50% deposit secures your spot in our build schedule. Renovation deadline or no rush at all, we’ll plan the timeline with you.
4. Shop Day
This is the fun part. Come see where your kitchen will be built. Pick your finishes, colours, handles, and panel details in person, and meet the people building your cabinets. We think that matters.
5. The Build
Before a single cut is made, we re-measure your space. Then we build your kitchen the way we build everything: real wood face frame construction with solid five-piece doors in maple, oak, ash, or walnut, and sturdy plywood interiors. The joinery hidden inside those boxes is the part you’ll never see, and the part we’re proudest of.
6. Install & Aftercare
We install in two to three days, carefully aligned, cleaned up, and walked through together. And we don’t disappear after that. Adjustments, touch-ups, questions a year down the road, it’s all part of owning a Jacobean kitchen. We built it to last generations. The least we can do is stick around.
